PDP confirms Adeleke’s participation in Osun rerun
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has confirmed that its candidate in
the Osun State governorship election, Ademola Adeleke, will participate
in tomorrow’s supplementary election

a 20-month driving ban and a £50,000 ($65,000) fine on Wednesday for
drink-driving in central London.
Outrage as Buhari removes DSS chief
A new Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) was
named yesterday. He is Yusuf Magaji Bichi. Bichi’s appointment takes
effect from today (Friday) September 14, 2018.The new DSS boss takes
over from Matthew Seiyefa, who was appointed in an acting capacity on
August 7, 2018, following the sacking of the former boss, Lawal Musa
Daura.

Buhari again declines assent to electoral bill

President Muhammadu Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari has for the third time declined assent to the Electoral (Amendment) Bill 2018.
“Mr. President is declining assent to the Electoral Amendment Bill, due to some drafting issues that remain un-addressed, following the prior revisions to the bill,” said Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate).
